All customers in Cape Cod and Vineyard towns of Massachusetts are eligible to participate in the Cape Light Compact program for electricity supply. Recently, the Cape Light Compact selected ConEdison Solutions as its competitive power supplier for all Cape Cod and Martha's Vineyard electricity customers.

The Cape Light Compact as administered through Barnstable County, is a regional energy services organization made up of all 21 towns of Barnstable and Dukes counties and the two counties themselves.  The purpose of the Compact is to represent and protect consumer interests in a restructured utility industry.  As authorized by each town, the Cape Light Compact operates the regional energy efficiency program, and works with the combined buying power of the region’s 197,000 electric consumers to negotiate for lower cost electricity and other public benefits.

Cape Cod and Vineyard consumers can support renewable energy through the Cape Light Compact Greensm program.  Consumers have the option to purchase renewable energy for a small price premium.  Cape Light Compact Green offers consumers the opportunity to match either 50% or 100% of their electricity usage with renewable energy certificates from sources such as wind, solar, landfill gas, and low-impact hydro.  The details of the Cape Light Compact Green product are available at CapeLightCompact.org.
